Jorge Pedraza joined Melody (renamed Palistar) in 2019 as an Operating Partner and, with the help of his Palistar colleagues, created Symphony Wireless. In the two years prior to joining Palistar, Dr. Pedraza was a Managing Partner at JP Partners providing strategic advisory services for wireless infrastructure companies. In 2003, Dr. Pedraza co-founded Unison Site Management, a dominant cell site lease acquisition company in the U.S. At Unison Site Management, from 2003 to 2017 he led the aggregation and sale of $1.4 billion of wireless lease assets. Prior to joining Unison, in 2000-2002 Jorge Pedraza helped build out the startup Le Monde Interactif, the online subsidiary of Le Monde, France’s paper of record. Prior to that he helped start up Concrete Inc., a website developer in NYC. From 1989 to 1998, Dr. Pedraza was a professor of Literary Studies at Williams College. Dr. Pedraza holds a BA in History from Cornell University and a PhD in Comparative Literature from Yale University.
Dr. Pedraza has been on the front lines of the changes brought about by the Internet and wireless communications for 30 years. The Internet and wireless communications are together like the Big Bang of a new universe, putting in motion an extraordinary array of dynamic elements that we are still only just working out. We have many more chapters ahead.

Dr. Pedraza is ranked 83rd in the Men’s over 60 US National Squash with a 4.5 rating and teaches a seminar on Proust to assorted members of the board of the Katonah Museum of Art where he is humbled by the insight and wisdom of his seminar partners.
